About the Abramson Center:
The Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life, formerly Philadelphia Geriatric Center, has a heritage of more than 140 years of caring for the elderly. It is located at 1425 Horsham Road, North Wales, PA 19454-1320.

As the need for broad, far-reaching services for the aged became apparent, the Abramson Center for Jewish Life's founders moved quickly to provide them. Over the years, the Center has changed and grown with the community, but its mission has remained constant: to enhance the quality of life of seniors through top-notch care, education and research, providing programs and services to meet those goals.

As a private, non-profit, Jewish-sponsored organization, the Abramson Center has long served as a safety net for Jewish seniors in need of quality care regardless of their ability to pay.

The Abramson Center for Jewish Life continues to forge ahead in developing pioneering services and facilities for care of the aged at its new, state-of-the-art campus in Horsham Township, Montgomery County, PA which features the Abramson Residence for nursing care, the Inn for assisted living, the Polisher Research Institute, the Helen Weiss Senior Day Program and Counseling for Caregivers. Through our Centers of Excellence, we define our continuing commitment to raising the standards of eldercare today and in the future.

About the Auxiliary of the Abramson Center:

Since the center's earliest beginnings, the Auxiliary has been its partner in caring for the aged. Auxiliary members are at the heart of the center, pumping warmth and vibrancy into our residents' lives. The 850-member Auxiliary sponsors a variety of special programs for residents including parties, recreational activities, special outings, and religious celebrations. Members volunteer their time to coordinate these various programs and assist residents in participating. The Auxiliary also operates a gift shop, located in Town Square, for the convenience of residents and families. The Auxiliary of the Abramson Center can be reached at 215-371-1820.
